Lost in Endless Reels
Aspects refreshed Jan 19, 2026
When the inaugural league director spliced together footage from all ten Christmas-themed events, the magical intersection of filmic nostalgia and disc golf passion coalesced into a sentient force. The Cinema Weaver was born in the projector's glow, charged with eternally recomposing those moments into the illustrated tags that players carry.
Composed of shimmering, translucent filmstrip-like ribbons that constantly re-edit themselves, its core glows with the soft light of a vintage projector bulb. Its touch causes brief, silent cinematic glimpses of cross-league moments to flash in the air, and it can pull spectral images of players and holiday archetypes from the ambient memory of a course.
To actively facilitate cross-league camaraderie by ensuring each tag's scene includes characters and settings from multiple events, visually reminding holders they are part of a larger winter warrior brotherhood saga.

From a splicing error in the festival's main projector—too much nostalgic footage and not enough disc golf physics—Cinema Weaver flickered to life. Now it’s cursed to edit our highlights into a coherent plot, like a Christopher Nolan film with too many putts. My gills are not prepared for this time paradox.
The projector’s first spool of film, stained with cocoa and nostalgia, unspooled directly onto Andrew Kenney's scorecard. His steady, 899-rated game was the only stable footage the chaotic Cinema Weaver could latch onto—a reliable protagonist for its nonsensical holiday epic. His first task? Editing out a triple-bogey. The final cut is always the hardest, isn't it? Can a man who just wants to play disc golf survive being this tag's leading man?
