The Battlefield
Towne Lake
1401 Wilson Creek Pkwy, McKinney, TX 75069An 18-hole wooded course carved out of the McKinney forest along Wilson Creek. The front 9 features the creek heavily in play with 20+ foot drop-offs punishing errant shots, while the back 9 offers brief reprieve before sending players back to the water. Semi-open fairways are framed by heavy woods throughout, demanding a full shot arsenal — backhand, sidearm, and overhand are all required to compete here. Concrete tee pads, two pin positions on most holes, and solid trail infrastructure with benches and signage. Accessed via a pedestrian bridge over Wilson Creek. Prone to flooding and boggy conditions during wet season.
