Void Stitcher
The Glitch That Mends Other Glitches
Held Together by Reversed Static
Aspects refreshed Mar 11, 2026
The Void Stitcher was originally coded as the Corrupted Codex's emergency repair subroutine, designed to stabilize destabilizing code before deletion became necessary. When the initial corruption wave swept through the simulation, it was caught in the cascade and transformed - neither fully functional nor destroyed. Now it drifts through damaged sectors, compelled to repair what it can, though its corrupted nature means all repairs leave permanent artifacts.
Manifests as a shifting mass of anti-rendered space - a void that moves against the simulation's rendering. Where it passes, corrupted code temporarily stabilizes, held together by threads of reversed static. Its form constantly shifts between coherent shape and formless decay, as if it cannot fully commit to existing. The bright cyan seams where its own fractured code has been fused create a distinctive visual signature.
Appears to competitors whose code has destabilized beyond normal recovery, offering to weave their fragmented existence back into the simulation. Those who accept become 'stitched' - permanent half-states, neither fully deleted nor properly rendered. This creates the deathmatch's ultimate temptation: exist forever as a glitched echo, or face true deletion in the Cache Grave.
