Memory Outlives Mercy
Aspects refreshed Feb 04, 2026
When the elder dragons first awakened in these peaks, they required a foundation from which to observe challengers—the Witness Crag emerged from the mountain's core, a conscious outcrop that would remember every trial across all traditions, serving as the bedrock of dragon recognition itself.
The Crag exists simultaneously at Sunset's highest granite throne and Farmington's most prominent ridge outcrop, its consciousness distributed across stone itself. Natural eye-patterns emerge in the rock face during significant trials, and crystalline formations grow like mineral memory, capturing the essence of witnessed excellence. As seasons progress, the stone shifts in hue—spring's pale granite darkening through witnessed struggles until winter frost reveals which crystalline memories have earned permanence.
Acts as the eternal witness whose observations determine what the mountains will remember, ensuring both traditions recognize the same fundamental worthiness through different expressions.
