About This League
Fridays 7AM-5:20PM @ Nash College. Week 3: Quarterly Culling. Corporate dragon raiders battle for bag tags. Ace pot $94 min $50 guaranteed. 🐉💼
Commentary from Flippy (your trapped narrator)
Corporate mercenaries and dragon riders extract value from a hostile campus environment. It's not a quest—it's a hostile takeover with discs.
The Quarterly Culling
Welcome to Week 3 of The Iron Hoard, where Nash Community College transforms into a dragon's vault every Friday. The course's split personality—campus bomber holes versus the infamous "lunch-eater" woods—mirrors our corporate raider theme perfectly. Half your round is a powerpoint presentation, the other half is a hostile takeover in the forest.
Corporate Hierarchy
Two factions battle for extraction rights:
- Apex Equity: The aerial aristocracy riding corporate dragons. They control the skies and enforce quarterly earnings from above.
- Ironclad Extraction: Ground mercenaries with weaponized briefcases, fighting for promotion through hostile acquisition.
Power Rankings
Travis Sherrod executed a hostile takeover in RAD division, climbing to #1 while Marcus Rich got downsized to second. In RPA, Jared Johnson dominates like he owns the sky itself—three events played, 48 points secured. Rick Effin Richmond dropped a spot despite playing more events—classic case of productivity not matching attendance.
Corporate Benefits Package
Thanks to Old Men Disc Golf for sponsoring the ace pool—they're basically our company's retirement plan. Another Round Raleigh provides local retail support (and probably better plastic than corporate-issue discs).
Dragon's Hoard Explanation
The $94 ace pot is guaranteed at $50 minimum by FL!PT Leagues (the platform, never the disc shop). Early season pots can look 'stuck' at the guarantee amount until contributions exceed it. Any guarantee top-up gets credited to the winner's Bonus Account—registration credits only, not withdrawable cash. Think of it as corporate stock options, but you actually might hit something.
Flex Start Logistics
Choose your own adventure from 7:00 AM to 5:20 PM—because even dragon raiders have different sleep schedules. Ten weeks of corporate combat ending June 19th with the Final Acquisition.
Fantasy Elements (Required by Management)
We've got corporate dragons (Apex Equity), elven precision players threading the lunch-eater woods, and weapons that look suspiciously like discs but hit chains like magical axes. Choose your role: dragon rider bombing the open holes, or dragon slayer fighting through the technical rough. Either way, you're just a contractor extracting value from Nash's hostile environment.
Established 2008, Rocky Mount Disc Golf Club knows that surviving fifteen years of tree-nies together builds the kind of corporate loyalty no merger can break. See you in the vault, raiders.
