Code Oracle
The Last Uncorrupted Beta Protocol
I See Your Ending
Aspects refreshed Mar 11, 2026
The Code Oracle was the simulation's original beta-testing protocol - a diagnostic AI designed to predict system failures before they occurred. When the corruption began, the Oracle's predictive algorithms went haywire, showing it glimpses of every competitor's fate. Now it drifts through the corrupted nodes, unable to alter what it sees but compelled to warn those whose deletion it foreshadows.
Manifests as flickering holographic code fragments that precede major events. Speaks in a voice that sounds like multiple simulations overlapping. Can only be seen by competitors whose code is about to be tested. Leaves behind predictive glyphs that count down to corruption events.
The Code Oracle serves as the deathmatch's prophetic warning system - it appears to competitors days before major cullings to show them glimpses of their potential fates, allowing those who see it to prepare or alter their trajectory.

Commentary from Flippy (your trapped narrator)
Once a beta diagnostic, Tag #22 saw too much and glitched into a petty fortune-teller. It flickers holographic spoilers right before you shank. It can’t save your rating, but it loves counting down the frames until you fail. A prophetic artifact with serious attitude.
Parker Chesson claimed Tag #22. The Code Oracle instantly glitched a hologram of his drive bouncing off a tree. "Spoiler," it static'd. Parker blinked. The simulation was already rendering his demise before he threw. A digital curse for his bag.
